No fewer than 7 LVBE members took part in the event, including our very first second-year trainee!
“Hack ta Zone”, a Hackathon to design tomorrow’s business park while taking into account land sobriety: Zero Net Artificialization (ZAN)
In a context of increasing scarcity of planetary resources, land, with its multiple uses (feeding, sheltering, tempering…) represents an essential component. Future developments will have to take account of this inescapable challenge, which has led us to rethink the way we design tomorrow’s business park.
Thanks to the innovative approach of the Hackathon, the ambition of the “Hack ta Zone!” community is to generate new ideas and proposals for “prototype” developments for the business parks of our partner local authorities: Communauté de Communes de la Basse-Zorn: Requalification of the Parc du Ried in Hoerdt and Colmar Agglomération: Biopôle extension project.
The second sprint took place on the premises of the IUT on the Biopôle in COLMAR on June 20 and 21, 2024 to think about a future extension!
6 project teams come together to innovate:
- Animated, governed: the Biopôle zone
- Pooling resources within the zone
- Living well and living together
- Let’s make the Biopôle a business zone withactivity zone!
- Let’s rethink Biopôle spaces together!
- Tomorrow’s Biopôle: a reference centerfor northern viticulture
Organized by Colmar Agglomération and ADIRA – L’Agence de développement d’Alsace.
Well done to Sébastien LEDUC, Pierre LITZLER, and Manon Duc for coordinating this innovative, collaborative event, which has been under preparation for 1 year, with acculturation sessions and webinars prior to the sprints.
After a Thursday of intense work for the 50 members, from 27 participating structures, the morning of Friday June 21, 2024 was pitch time!
A pitch is a presentation of a project or idea designed to convince an audience. It gets its full name, “elevator pitch”, from its format: it has to be condensed enough to be delivered in the time of an elevator ride with the person you’re trying to convince.
The jury, made up of elected representatives including Odile ULRICH-MALLET, 1st deputy mayor of Colmar, technicians from the Communauté d’agglomération de Colmar, users of the area and a project expert, as well as all the participants, were present to hear the results of the work. The atmosphere of a Hackathon was there with candidates who really played the game, proposing animated, scripted, funny renderings... all the while conveying strong messages for the Biopôle.
A delighted jury chose the winner:
“Alexandre PERAL, Thomas DUAL, Véronique HORELLOU, Hélène LALOUE, Juliette STIRN, Marie-Laure MEYER, Maxence PFEIFFER and Linda PRADEAU.
The idea: To give working time back to researchers, students and future professionals by putting in place:
– a bus line, a Vélib. station
– a pedestrian-bicycle path under the SNCF railway line, providing direct access to the Route de Rouffach,
– a car silo on the east side of the railroad line, relieving traffic congestion and preserving the tranquility of the site,
– a service building with a canteen shared by researchers and students, and a university library,
– an innovation building housing a Fab-lab, a business incubator, start-up incubators, prototyping facilities… a new amphitheatre reserved for seminars
and coworking rooms,
– an international vine museum with an ampelographic collection of grape varieties from all over the world,
– greenhouses,
– a heavily planted agora in front of RITTMO and the Faculty of Science and Technology, an essential meeting place for all creativity, totally de-bedded, drastically reducing the albedo of the current site,
– a university residence by redeveloping the current ONF building,
– a vinopôle bringing together the CIVA, IFV and a sensory analysis room,
– rebuild the INRAe to enlarge and modernize it, and
– an Olympic-size swimming pool, because what could be better than a healthy mind in a healthy body?
The jury also awarded a “Coup de cœur” prize to the “Bien vivre et vivre ensemble au Biopôle” with the OASIS project led by Sophie LINCKS, Nancy RANDRIANDRAINIBE, Romain PIERRON, Antonin SIMLER, Monica ANGULO-RAMIREZ, Séverine COUBARD, Hazael BONHERT and Djeneba KARAMBIRI.
The idea: To create links, to bring together players, researchers, students and local residents around an Oasis in the heart of the site, to encourage encounters around an integration restaurant, “coliving” accommodation, an open stage, an exhibition of research work, scientific and agricultural mediation workshops…
The public could choose to highlight a project by applause meter, and it was the group: “Le Biopôle demain: un center de référence pour la viticulture septentrionale” which won. Arthur FROEHLY, Laure VALAT, Christophe BERTSCH, Antonin SIMLER, Céline ABIDON, Marianne HENNER, Noémie GUILLEMAILLE, Jérôme BOITELET, Gilles NEUSCH, Clément LAMY et Lucie PIERRE.
The idea: “WE’RE NOT LETTING GO! The Biopôle has a global reach”.
“All of Gaul was occupied by the Romans… All of it? No! One village of die-hard Gauls is still holding out against the invaders.” The entire wine market has been in decline for years… All of it? No! A vineyard populated by irreducible Alsatians is still resisting the loss of attractiveness. And it’s all thanks to the future Biopôle d’Excellence, acting like a “magic potion” for a worldwide reputation.
A huge well done to all participants who worked
to build and propose
and proposing projects for the
Biopôle. All this work
will be brought together to
our current and future
current and future areas.
With its cluster of excellence, the Biopôle has the potential to become the beating, sustainable heart of southwest Colmar and the whole region.
Thank you to Riche Laurent , Vincent Froehlicher , Eric Straumann, Lucien MULLER for giving us the opportunity to experience moments like this!
