Donations and messages of support are reaching the Colmar Civil Hospitals!
An exceptional wave of solidarity from people of Colmar and beyond has been noted by an important amount of donations and support messages to the healthcare community of Colmar Civil Hospitals.
The grapeVine Biotechnologies and Environment Laboratory as well as the Agro teaching part of the FMA are among these donors. On Thursday, March 19th , 2020, early in the morning, we made an inventory of our available stocks of individual protections equipment that can help the healthcare staff. In the end, the Hospital Pasteur will have at its disposal:
20 FFP2 masks
50 surgical masks
6 FFP3 masks
7,500 eco nitrile GLOVES
440 Overshoes
200 Charlottes
30 Disposable coats
5 liters of 96% Ethanol
And we are not the only ones! At noon, this Thursday, March 19th , the University of Haute-Alsace delivered thousands of gloves and a hundred masks as well as ethanol 96% (about 40 liters) necessary to the realization of hydro-alcoholic gel to the Hospital Pasteur in Colmar. All this comes from university laboratories in Colmar and from the teaching part of the University of Haute-Alsace located in Colmar, namely:
the IUT Biological Engineering Department,
the DUT Hygiene, Safety and Environment,
The Faculty of Marketing in Agrosciences and
ourselves the LVBE.
